I wrote a blog, “Are You a Sincere Searcher for Eternal, Life-giving Truth?" here. The premise of my blog was that you must diligently seek Jehovah God with your whole heart, soul and mind. The WT Bible, The Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures (KIT), can aid you in this search (a free copy is available here.)
Why do JW’s not find the One True God? Because it is the rare JW that knows about the existence of the KIT, let alone how to use it to discover “life
giving truths that will not be confused by sectarian, denominational religious
teachings. An understanding that is fortified by the knowledge of what the
ORIGINAL LANGUAGE says and means.” KIT page 5.
JW’s instead believe that “An individual must have The Watchtower to
understand the Bible.” 1983 Yearbook, p. 21
AND
“Avoid independent thinking . . . questioning the counsel that is provided by God’s visible organization (WTBTS).” The Watchtower, Jan. 15, 1983, p. 22.
JW’s have abdicated critical thinking and allow the WT to tell them what the Bible means by what it says. They let the WT do the "diligently searching for God." They DO NOT do the searching themselves. Once the WT has completed the "diligent searching" their findings are published in various WT publications for JW's to read and embrace as their own (remember: JW's are to "Avoid Independent Thinking.")
Since JW's allow the WT to do the "diligent searching," the JW ends up right where the WT wants them--believing the WT is the sole interpreter of the Bible and that the JW's thinking must align with WT thinking. The key verse that is forgotten in all of this is Hebrews 11:6 (I have blogged about this verse here), "But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." Note, in this verse that "he who comes" is an individual. The individual must diligently seek and not allow someone or some organization to do the seeking. God will reward those individuals (the he who comes) who seek Him earnestly, seriously, industriously and personally.
