"Do you desire an accurate (1) understanding of the faith-inspiring Greek
Scriptures? An understanding that will not be confused by sectarian,
denominational religious teachings. An understanding that is fortified by the
knowledge of what the ORIGINAL LANGUAGE says and means.” Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek
Scriptures (KIT), A WT Bible, page 5. If you do not have a copy of the KIT, download a FREE copy here. Read the 1st Paragraph from Page 5 which I have placed below.
"To aid such
sincere seekers of truth and life is the purpose (2) behind the
publishing of the Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures."
KINGDOM INTERLINEAR TRANSLATION OF THE GREEK SCRIPTURES
Page 5
How does the KIT aid seekers of
truth? It (KIT) "opens up (3) to the
student of the Sacred Scriptures what the original koine Greek literally says, WITHOUT any sectarian religious
coloration."
KINGDOM INTERLINEAR TRANSLATION OF THE GREEK SCRIPTURES
Page 5
How does the KIT accomplish this? Read Paragraph #2 from Page 5 then look at any page from the KIT. On the broad left-hand column (4) is the
original koine Greek text
and above each Greek word is the English Translation. On the slim right-hand
column (5) is the New World Translation (NWT). "The word for word KIT
and the NWT are arranged parallel (across from each other) on the page, so that comparisons can be made
between the two reading and the accuracy of any modern translation can be determined (6)." Reader's Digest Version: Read the Greek—then read the English translation—if
they do not agree, the English is INACCURATE and is the product of Religious
coloration, i.e. Religious Bias. The translators are not interested in the truth
but only in substantiating their brand of "TRUTH."
Look at these two examples and
decide—is the NWT a Faithful Translation or an Inaccurate Translation of the
Greek Scriptures.
Colossians 1:16-17 read from
the Left side, the Greek side, the God inspired side. "Because in him it
was created the all (things) in the heavens and upon the earth, the (things)
visible and the (things) invisible, whether thrones or lordships of governments
or authorities: the all (things) through him and into him it has been created
and he is before all (things) and the all (things) in him it has stood
together."
The WT's translation
committee read Colossians 1:16-17 and translated it this way, “because by means
of him all (other) things were created in the heavens and upon
the earth, . . . All (other) things have been created
through him and for him. Also, he is before all (other) things
and by means of him all (other) things were made to
exist.” The Translation Committee added the word "other" four times.
It is NOT in the original Greek.
QUESTION. A comparison can be
made between the two readings and the accuracy of the translation can be
determined. Accurate or Not Accurate?
EXAMPLE #2. John 14:14
John 14:14 read from the Left
side, the Greek side, the God inspired side. "if ever anything you should
ask me in the name of me this I shall do."
The WT's translation
committee read John 14:14 and translated it this way, “If YOU ask anything in
my name I will do it." The Translation Committee deleted the word me (see
below).
QUESTION: A comparison of the two readings and the accuracy of the translation can be determined. Accurate or Not Accurate?
REMEMBER: Revelation 22:18-19: "I am bearing witness to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this scroll: If anyone makes an addition to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this scroll; and if anyone takes anything away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take his portion away from the tree of life and out of the holy city, things that are written about in this scroll."
