Watch Tower Cover-up Exposed: Jesus is Jehovah!

According to WT doctrine, Jehovah created Jesus as his first and greatest creation. Jesus first existed as Michael the Archangel, then as Jesus after his birth at Bethlehem until his death on the cross at Calvary, and finally as a Spirit Creature after his resurrection.

Jesus, according to WT doctrine, cannot be Jehovah. The WT problem is that the Bible, at numerous places, states that Jesus is Jehovah. Those, “numerous places,” must be clouded or changed or hidden or covered-up, in some fashion, in order to hide the plain teaching of scripture that Jesus is in fact Jehovah.

Isaiah 1:24

I recently experienced a Déjà Vu moment. I was doing research and looking through my copy of the WT Bible, The New World Translation, Green Cover, 1970 and on page 1455, in the Appendix section, at the bottom, there is a most interesting Footnote on Isaiah 1:24 concerning the phrase: “the [true] Lord.”

PARAPHRASE OF ISAIAH 1:24 in the Appendix. If you have the word a•dōn´ (lord), it can refer to any lord or master (your boss, a judge, royalty, etc.). HOWEVER, if you put the word ha (the) in front of a•dōn and have, ha-A•dōn´ (the Lord) you are now referring to JEHOVAH GOD AND ONLY JEHOVAH GOD.

I remember seeing this word ha-A•dōn´ in another WT publication, the Kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures, (KIT) 1969, Purple Cover. ha-A•don´ appears in Romans 10:9 on page 722 in footnote ª. Below is Romans 10:9 in the KIT:

The footnote tells you that the English word "Lord" in Greek is Κύριος and in Hebrew it is ha-A•dōn´ and as we know, from Isaiah 1:24, this title is LIMITED TO JEHOVAH GOD.

Romans 10:9 now reads, with the footnote in mind:

“For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Jehovah God, and exercise faith in your heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.”

Realizing that their own words (in the Appendix to Isaiah 1:24) demonstrates that JESUS IS JEHOVAH, the WT adds, at the end of the footnote, in the KIT, “Not Jehovah.” No explanation is given as to why their Isaiah 1:24 rule does not apply. But one can guess why—their doctrine DEMANDS that the term "Jehovah God" apply only to Jehovah and never to Jesus. Therefore, they had to insert “Not Jehovah” to maintain the integrity of their doctrine.

Will the typical JW find this out? Not likely! Remember: “Avoid Independent Thinking . . questioning the counsel that is provided by God’s visible organization.” The Watchtower, January 15, 1983, p. 22.

The WT's Reference Bible can be found at JW.ORG. In the Search Box type: "The New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures--with References".

Once you get to Isaiah 1:24, click the * after “Lord” and it will bring up “Footnotes”, click on 1H and you will see basically the same information that was in the 1970 NWT. The one major difference occurs at the end where the WT states, the title “ha•’A•dhon’ LIMITS THE APPLICATION OF THIS TITLE EXCLUSIVLEY TO JEHOVAH GOD.”

Re-Read Romans 10:9 with the footnote in mind:

“For if you publicly declare that ‘word in your own mouth,’ that Jesus is Jehovah  God  and exercise faith  in  your  heart that God raised him up from the dead, you will be saved.”

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

IN THE KIT (left side, page 916): (16) “because very (one) the Lord in command, . . . he will come down from heaven . . . (17) thereupon we the living . . . meeting of the Lord into the air and thus always together with Lord.”

IN THE KIT (right side): (16) “because the Lord^b himself will descend from heaven . . . (17) we the living . . . will be caught away in clouds to meet the Lord^b in the air; and thus we shall always be with (the) Lord.^c” Note footnotes b and c, which tell us that the three times “the Lord” occurs in these verses it is referring to JEHOVAH GOD.

FOOTNOTES FOR VERSES 16 & 17. Remember that “the Lord” (ha•’A•dhon’) is a title EXCLUSIVLEY for JEHOVAH GOD. Reread verses 16 & 17 (right side) putting in Jehovah instead of “the Lord. (16) “because Jehovah himself will descend from heaven . . . (17) we the living . . . will be caught away in clouds to meet Jehovah in the air; and thus we shall always be with Jehovah.”

1 THESSALONIANS 4:13–18 CONTEXT. Thessalonian believers needed further teaching about Jesus' return (the rapture) and specifically about what happens to Christians who die before Jesus returns. Paul turns to address these vital matters. He wants his readers to know that death should not cause them to grieve like unbelievers. There is a bright prospect of seeing departed believers again. When Jesus returns from heaven, He will bring deceased Christians with Him. Christians who have died will receive their resurrected bodies and living Christians will be caught up to join them, to be with the Lord forever.

Three times “the Lord” is used and if you click on the * it shows that all three are referring to “Jehovah” since “the Lord” (ha•’A•dhon’) is used EXCLUSIVELY FOR JEHOVAH GOD.

QUESTION: Who will descend from heaven?
ANSWER: “The Lord, Jehovah.
QUESTION: Who will rise first?
ANSWER: The dead in union with Christ.
QUESTION: The living and dead will meet whom in the air?
ANSWER: The Lord, Jehovah.
QUESTION: After this rapture, believers will always be with whom?
ANSWER: The Lord, Jehovah.

This whole section is about THE RETURN OF JESUS. The fact that the Holy Spirit wrote that it is “the Lord” (ha•’A•dhon’) who is returning is proof that Jesus is Jehovah since the phrase (ha•’A•dhon’) is used EXCLUSIVELY FOR JEHOVAH GOD.

1 PETER 3:15

IN THE KIT (left side page 1032): (15) “Lord but the Christ sanctify you in the hearts of you . . . ”

IN THE KIT (right side): (15) “But sanctify the Christ as Lord^b in YOUR hearts,”

FOOTNOTE FOR VERSE 15^b shows that verse 15 can be read as,  “But sanctify the Christ as Jehovah God in your hearts.”

1^st PETER 3:15  CONTEXT: In 1 Peter 3:14, Peter instructs Christians not to fear those who cause them to suffer for the sake of Christ. In this verse, he reveals how believers should choose to respond.

We should set aside our hearts as the place where Christ is fully honored, even in suffering. When we set apart Christ as Lord, it will change us. Peter says those who observe us will notice the difference. 

That difference is hope. Even in the midst of our suffering, our hopefulness should be apparent. So, Peter instructs us to be ready to answer the question our life should inspire: "How can you be so hopeful in such difficult circumstances?“

QUESTION: Who is THE CHRIST in 1 Peter 3:15? 

ANSWER: Footnote 15^b tells us that “the Christ” is “Lord,” he is “the Messiah our Lord,” he is “the Lord God,” and he is “Jehovah God.”

The WT’s Reference Bible is clear! Verse 15:  “Sanctify the Christ as Lord” OR “Sanctify the Christ as Jehovah God in your hearts.”

QUESTION: Who is THE CHRIST? 

ANSWER: Verse 18 in the WT’s Reference Bible gives us more information about who the Christ is. It states, “Christ died once for all time and was put to death in the flesh but was made alive in the spirit.” 

QUESTION: Who died once for all time? 

ANSWER: Jesus Christ died once for all time.

QUESTION: Who was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit?

ANSWER: Jesus was put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.
