The WT Whiffs Again!

I was looking at the WT of June 1, 1988 p. 15 when the section title “Accurate Knowledge of God and His Son Leads to Life, ” caught my attention. I decided to look at the first three verses the WT touts as leading to accurate knowledge. In STEEE-RIKE 1! here I looked at  the first verse the WT references: John 17:3. WT quotes are in BLUE. The second verse they list is Revelation 4:11.

Steee-Rike 2. Revelation 4:11 reads in The New World Translation, “You are worthy, Jehovah, even our God to receive the glory and the honor and the power, because you created all things, and because of your will they existed and were created.”

The WT fails to reference Colossians 1:16-17 which is talking about Jesus and states in part in the KIT (left side, the Greek side), “because in him it was created the all (things) in the heavens and upon the earth . . . the all (things) through him and into him it has been created; and he is before all (things) and the all (things) in him it has stood together.”

Putting Revelation 4:11 and Colossians 1:16-17 together and you see that God created all things and Jesus created all things. Conclusion ? ? ?

The WT realizing the implications of Revelation 4:11 and Colossians 1:16-17 has altered the NWT of Colossians 1:16-17 to read, “because by means of him all OTHER things were created in the heavens and upon the earth . . . all OTHER things have been created through him and for him. Also, he is before all OTHER things and by means of him all OTHER things were made to exist." The word “other” is NOT IN THE GREEK (the large left hand column), it has been ADDED BY THE WT to the NWT, (the narrow right hand column, see below), because WT doctrine states that only Jehovah created all things. Jesus, on the other hand, according to the WT, created almost all things (he did not create himself). Thus, the WT needed to insert the word OTHER at Colossians to hide the clear teaching of scripture that Jesus created ALL THINGS and thus  is God.

Keep in mind Rev. 4:11 and Col. 1:16-17 then read Hebrews 3:4, “Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but the one who constructed all things is God.” The Greek word for ALL THINGS (πάντα) is the same Greek word in all three verses.  Could this mean that Jesus is God? Conclusion ? ? ?

The WT also fails to mention Isaiah 44:24 which reads, “This is what Jehovah says, your Repurchaser, Who formed you since you were in the womb: “I am Jehovah, who made everything. I stretched out the heavens BY MYSELF, And I spread out the earth. Who was with me?”"

The WT would have you believe that the Archangel Michael was with God when God drew up the blue prints for creation and Michael (soon to be Jesus) did the work.

Steee-Rike 3. Colossians 1:15 is here.
