Pesky Bible verses that contradict WT doctrine! Part 3

Isaiah 44:24 – (NWT)

"I, the LORD, am the maker of all things, Stretching out the heavens by Myself, And spreading out the earth all alone.” (NASB)

The WT teaches that the Almighty God i.e. Jehovah’s first creation was the mighty god Jesus. Jesus was then given the blue prints for creation and created all other things. Therefore, Jesus is God’s master workman. The problem with this line of thinking is that it contradicts the clear teaching of scripture. See Pesky Bible verses that contradict WT doctrine! Part 1 that discusses John 1:3 which can be found here.

The verse I am looking at in this blog, Isaiah 44:24, also contradicts the WT teaching on creation. The verse quotes God stating, “I am doing everything by myself.” I have heard JW’s say that if you have a house built, and hire an architect, the architect might say that he will build the house. But he in turn hires a contractor, who hires a sub-contractor, who hires the expert workers that actually build the house. Thinking in those terms there is no problem with Isaiah 44:24.

But we must remember that every word in the Bible are the words of God and so we must look at each word as being important. Isaiah recorded that God said, “I am doing everything . . . by myself.” Now what if the architect had said, “I will build your house by myself and all alone.” From that statement your mind will envision a totally different picture of how your house will be built. You would see the lone architect doing it all from excavating the foundation to putting on the roof. Words have meaning and we must be careful to make sure we are reading each and every word in the Bible. Isaiah records God saying He will create everything “by myself,” and “all alone.” The WT’s Governing Body says different.

Chose this day whom you will follow.

The Jehovah's Witness dogma of only literal limited 144,000 going to heaven is unbiblical. Jehovah's Witnesses, active and faithful members are claiming to have the heavenly hope in great numbers. The trend is so apparent that the JW Governing Body changed their teaching to accommodate it. But is this new light or the beginning of a schism?

(John 10:16)

After reading the entire 10th chapter without Watchtower influence and you will see that the 'other sheep' are the converted gentiles and not an earthly class with a separate limited literal 144,000 going to heaven. JW also claim Jesus has had his second coming (already) October 1914,one of many false teachings of the Watchtower.

I have also touched on it in the blog:
