Titus 2:13, “looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus.” New American Standard

And

2 Peter 1:1 “Simon Peter, a bond-servant and apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who have received a faith of the same kind as ours, by the righteousness of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ” New American Standard

Real clear! Christ Jesus is our God and our Savior. The WT and their Arian views (see the blog on “How does the Arian heresy relate to the JW view of Jesus.”) cannot possibly let this verse stand. Thus, Presto Change-O!

Titus 2:13, “while we wait for the happy hope and glorious manifestation of the great God and of [the] Savior of us, Christ Jesus.” The New World Translation.

2 Peter 1:1 “ . . . by the righteousness of our God and [the] Savior Jesus Christ.”The New World Translation

Now both verses appear to be talking about God and a separate Savior, Christ Jesus. Once again the WT has changed the Bible to conform to their doctrine instead of changing their doctrine to conform to the Bible. But all is in harmony in WT Land. We will just ignore those Pesky verses in the Bible that warn against adding or subtracting to God’s word.

Deuteronomy 4:2 “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you.”

Deuteronomy 12:32 “What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.”

Revelation 22:18-19 “For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.”
