Acts 20:28 – “Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.”
What did that say? God purchased the church with His own blood. But wasn’t it Jesus whose blood was shed for the sins of the world? That would make Jesus, God. Totally contrary to WT doctrine. No problem.

Translation
Acts 20:28 – “Pay attention to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the holy spirit has appointed you overseers, to shepherd the congregation of God, which he purchased with the blood of his own [Son].”
Now the verse appears to be talking about God and a separate Savior, Christ Jesus.
But isn’t changing the Word of God serious business? What if a Witness looks into this and asks about the Bible being changed? No problem says the WT. Why?
The JW will be told:
“Avoid independent thinking . . . questioning the counsel that is provided by God’s visible organization (WTBTS).” WT, Jan 15, 1983, p. 22.
