The WT’s Monotheism.
Jer.
32:18 “ . . . and repaying the error of the fathers into the bosom of their
sons after them, the [true] God, the great One, the mighty One, Jehovah of
armies is his name.” “The WT Bible, “The New World Translation.”
Isaiah
10:21 “ A mere remnant will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the Mighty God.”
The
WT identifies this Mighty God as Jehovah
Isaiah
9:6 “For there has been a child born to us, there has been a son given to us; .
. . And his name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal
Father, Prince of Peace.”
According
to the WT this Mighty God is Jesus—different than the Mighty God spoken about
in Isaiah 10:21 and Jer. 32:18.
John
1:1 “In [the] beginning the Word was and the Word was with God and the Word was
a god.”
Here
the WT says “with God” is Jehovah and “a god” is Jesus—an Almighty God and a
mighty God.
The Bible on Monotheism.
Deut.
6:4 “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God the LORD is one!”
Isaiah
43:5 “ . . . Besides Me there is no God.”
Isaiah
45:21 “ . . . And there is no other God besides Me, A righteous God and a
Savior.”
Isaiah
46:9 “ . . . For I am God and there is no other, I am God, and there is no one
like me.”
